The Green Party and DSA a Malignant U.S. LEFT Tradition

Jill Stein totally self-serving lends and tainted air to the political rhetoric in almost 50 states in a half assed watered down manner by its post-modern hodge-podge of rhetoric.

"The Green Party Carries On a Malignant Tradition
Green parties often align with postmodern political theory by rejecting traditional left-right dichotomies, emphasizing decentralized power, and focusing on "post-materialist" values such as identity, environmentalism, and quality of life over industrial growth. Emerging from the social movements of the 1960s, these parties challenge the conventional structures of modern industrial society and advocate for localism and identity-based politics."

"Core Postmodern Characteristics of Green Parties
Post-Materialism: Green parties champion "new politics" that prioritize cultural, environmental, and self-expression values rather than just economic growth or material security."

"Anti-Categorization: Green ideology is often seen as a challenge to traditional political classification, combining left-wing economics with libertarian-decentralized decision-making."

"Decentralization & Grassroots Democracy: A fundamental pillar of green politics is to shift power away from centralized state bureaucracies toward local communities."

"Identity & Pluralism: Green platforms often integrate feminism, gender equality, and respect for diversity into their core, moving beyond class-based politics."

"Postmodern Political Action
Anti-Party Party: Initially, Green parties (like the German Greens) described themselves as "anti-party parties" that brought grassroots activism into electoral politics."

"Flexibility & Fragmentation: Green movements often grapple with internal conflicts between radical grassroots activism (fundis) and pragmatic electoral approaches (realos)."

"Global-Local Link: They emphasize "acting locally" while addressing global issues, often questioning global trade and supporting local economic autonomy. "

"Critiques and Context
"Neoliberals on Bikes": Some critics argue that certain European Green parties have evolved into a "new-liberal" or centrist, urban, middle-class movement rather than a truly post-industrial radical force."

"Mainstreaming: As green issues (e.g., climate change) have become mainstreamed, some argue that dedicated Green parties are becoming less unique in their roles, even as they enter coalition governments.
Left-Libertarian Split: Green parties are frequently described as "left-libertarian" because they marry the economic left's focus on equality with the libertarian desire for autonomy and decentralization."

"While rooted in radical social activism, many Green parties have moved from outsider protest movements to significant participants in mainstream governance, particularly in Europe, demonstrating an adaptation to the complexities of modern political systems."
